Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Dr Gary Kode’s practice, we understand that plans can change. To provide fair access to appointments and theatre bookings, we have a cancellation and refund policy in place.

Please note: Each clinic where Dr Kode consults or operates may have its own specific cancellation and refund policy. Patients should contact the clinic where they are receiving care directly to confirm the policy that applies to them.

Consultations

• If you need to cancel or reschedule your consultation, we ask that you provide at least 72 hours’ notice.
• Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
• Consultation fees are non-refundable once the appointment has taken place.

Surgical Bookings

• A booking deposit is required to secure a surgery date. This deposit will be discussed with you during the booking process.
• If you cancel your surgery with sufficient notice (generally 4 weeks or more), your deposit may be partially refundable, less any administrative costs already incurred.
• Cancellations made with less than 4 weeks’ notice may result in loss of the full deposit.
• Fees paid to third parties (such as hospitals or anaesthetists) are subject to their own policies and are outside of our control.

Me Clinic Surgical Bookings

Me Clinic ask that patients consider their procedure date carefully as your deposit may not be refundable if you cancel your procedure within 2 weeks of your surgery.  Please refer to “Booking Your Procedure” and “Terms & Conditions” information leaflets Me Clinic provide when you receive your quote.

Refunds

• Under Australian Consumer Law, refunds are not provided for a change of mind.
• Refunds will only be considered where required by law, or in specific circumstances discussed directly with the practice.
• Surgical and consultation fees cover the time, expertise, and resources provided and are therefore non-refundable once services have been delivered.

Rescheduling

• We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to availability.
• In some cases, rescheduling may involve additional costs if notice is insufficient or if external providers (such as hospitals) apply penalties.
